This is a short video showing how to clean with a squeegee, there is no right or wrong way as long as you achieve a streak free result, however there are a few tips that I can share that will assist you.

Ensure your equipment is clean, and that you have washing up liquid and water on your applicator, I usually squeeze a line on both sides the length of the applicator.

Mix the solution on the applicator to even the amount of washing up liquid across the bar by placing it on the glass and making circular motions.

The applicator is doing the cleaning, so ensure you cover the entire area and make sure you give it a good scrub. This is also your opportunity to remove any paint using the scraper.

Wet the rubber on the squeegee before it’s placed on the glass, this is called priming, this will prevent it dragging when you make your first move.

Cut in the corners at the top of the window first, this will prevent runs try not to take the squeegee off the glass. The fewer movements you can make the more efficient you will be. Try to follow the pattern I make in the video.

Work from top to bottom and aim to finish off at the bottom corner, take care that when you finish you don’t lift off too soon as this will make a mark (don’t worry if you do, it can always be wiped off).

Don’t get too much water on the glass or frame, this will help minimise water running down and ruining your hard work.

Finish off with a clean cloth and wipe the edges.
